ETOPOSIDE

The stability of etoposide solution for oral use has been reported.1

Etoposide injection, 20mg per mL, was diluted with 0.9% sodium chloride injection to a concentration of 10mg per mL.  The solution was then packed into plastic oral syringes (Burron Medical Inc., Bethlehem, PA, USA. Model 0-5C) and stored at room temperature with or without protection from light.  The etoposide solution was found to be stable for 22 days under both storage conditions.

If alternative plastic syringes are used, it is recommended that they are composed of similar materials to the syringes used in this study.
