Naltrexone Liquid 1mg per mL
Naltrexone Tablets 50mg  
*Ascorbic acid 0.5  g
#Sodium Benzoate 0.1  g
Glycerol 20  mL
Water to   100  mL
#Alternatively, use parabens 0.1%.
Expiry:  30 days.
Stability:  30 days at 25°C;  60 days at 4°C.1
Storage:  Amber, plastic bottles.

  1. *If ascorbic acid powder is not available use a plain ascorbic acid tablet NOT effervescent as excipients may compromise stability.
  2. The solution has a very bitter taste.  Try mixing with fruit juice just prior to administration.
  3. The above formula is based on one used by the National Institute for Drug Abuse (USA, 1976).
