TERBINAFINE
 
 
Terbinafine hydrochloride is soluble in ethanol and slightly soluble in water.
Formula A uses a commercially available vehicle.  Formula B is a suggested alternative if the vehicle is not available.

Formula A1

Terbinafine Suspension 25mg per mL
 
Terbinafine Tablets 250mg 10   
Ora-Sweet, Ora-Plus; 1:1 mixture to   100  mL
 
The final pH of this preparation is about 5.5
 
Expiry:  30 days
 
Stability:   42 days
 
Storage:  4 - 25°C
 
Shake well before use
 

Formula B

Terbinafine Suspension
 
Terbinafine Tablets qs   
Glycerol 20  mL
Methylcellulose 1% 50  mL
Parabens 0.1  %
Citric acid 50  mg
Water to   100  mL
 
The final pH should be 5.5 or lower.
 
Expiry:  30 days (suggested)
 
Storage:  Refrigeration or room temperature
 
Shake well before use
