often required for pediatric patients. Commercially manufactured liquids
are not always available and they have to be prepared from tablets or
capsules. This information is intended as a guide to best practice by

Extemporaneous preparation of oral liquids should always be a last resort
as the product may be unstable and therapeutically unreliable. Commercially
manufactured products or alternative dosing strategies should always be
preferred.
