Clinical
Pharmacy Supervisor Looking for
the next move in your career? Wanting an opportunity to take on
an exciting and stimulating role as the leader of a great team?
Keen to develop clinical pharmacy services and promote the role
of pharmacists within the healthcare team? Then we have the job
for you! If you are a New Zealand Registered Pharmacist, holding
a current APC with the Pharmacy Council of NZ and with a minimum
of 5 years hospital pharmacy experience (preferably across a range
of specialities), then this may well be the opportunity of your
lifetime. Previous supervisory/management experience would be
an advantage, as would a post-graduate qualification in clinical
pharmacy. The principal objective of this position is to provide
daily supervision, rostering and service development for a team
of around 20 clinical pharmacists and associated services at this
750-bed site. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager based at Christchurch
Hospital, you will provide leadership and direction in clinical
pharmacy for both your team and the wider Pharmacy Service group.
Key liaison relationships include the Director of Allied Health
and Directors of Nursing. Duties will include a regular clinical
pharmacy attachment. The Clinical Supervisor is an integral part
of the departmental and service management teams, deputising for
the Pharmacy Manager at times. A significant service revision
is underway, involving a move away from supply-based services
to enable the development of comprehensive clinical services for
the DHB. You will need to be a flexible, enthusiastic person,
able to work well within a multi-disciplinary team environment,
prioritising your time and efforts into the areas of maximal benefit.
You should be able to relate well to patients, carers and colleagues.
Effective computer, written and oral communication skills are
required. |
